Who are we?

OneSpaWorld, founded in 1901, is a concessionaire present on over 180 cruise ships worldwide. We operate on 20 cruise lines, with 4 brands and manage 67 spas distributed across 18 countries, in addition to 8 training centers.

Our workforce is comprised of over 5000 employees from 86 countries who speak 27 different languages. Our main offices are located in Miami, London, and South Africa, serving as pre-boarding training centers. Additionally, we have land-based spas located in exotic destinations such as Dubai, Thailand, China, and Las Vegas.

    • How long will it take to receive an update on my application?
    • Response times vary depending on the specialty and the country from which you are applying. Generally, we aim to provide you with a response within 5 days of your application.
    • Will I receive a response if I am not selected?
    • We strive to respond to all applications, but due to the high volume, we may not always be able to provide a response if you do not qualify for the next stage.
    • What happens if I cannot attend my interview date?
    • If you have difficulty attending the proposed date, we recommend that you contact your recruiter to find an alternative that better suits both parties.
    • Will the interview be in person or online?
    • The interview will be conducted online via WhatsApp or Google Meet.
    • Will the interview be conducted in English?
    • Yes, two online interviews will be conducted in English with Antonella and Julieta. A fluent and/or conversational level of English is required to participate.
    • Do I need to complete a practical test to demonstrate my skills in my area of work?
    • Yes, after your first interview, your recruiter will instruct you on how to carry out your practical test and your personal presentation in English. You will need to send the links for review before your final interview.
    • How should I dress for the interview?
    • For the interview, it is essential to dress professionally, neatly, and elegantly. We highly value appearance in a professional setting. Please maintain a fresh and well-groomed appearance. Discreet makeup, well-manicured nails, and covering tattoos is recommended to project a solid professional presence.
    • What is the most important preparation before training?
    • Studying and reviewing the online training is essential for a smooth training process and to gain additional confidence. Also, practice public speaking and improve your English if it is not your native language.
    • What should I expect during training?
    • The training focuses on preparing you for maritime life. Although it can be challenging, we are here to ensure that you have the skills, techniques, and confidence necessary to excel during your contract.
    • What happens if I fail?
    • Our goal is to provide you with every opportunity for success. If, together, we determine that you need more preparation, we will provide you with additional time in an individualized approach.
    • Do I need travel and medical insurance?
    • You must have your own medical and travel insurance during your training. Onboard, the company will cover your medical insurance throughout your contract.
    • Accommodation: Is my place already booked?
    • Depending on your training location, if you are traveling to London, yes, your reservation is made upon receipt of your acceptance letter and terms of the Training Program, once you have sent your documents. In Argentina, you will need to make your own reservation.
    • How much luggage can I bring?
    • We recommend only one checked bag of a maximum of 20 kilograms due to airline regulations, and one carry-on bag of 8 kilograms.
    • How much money will I need?
    • It is important to have enough funds for additional expenses, especially considering that London can be expensive. If you choose to do your training in Argentina, costs are usually lower in comparison.
    • When will my medical exam be?
    • If your training is in London, it will be on the first day of training. If your training is in Argentina, we will let you know the corresponding date and time.
    • Is there Wi-Fi at the academy?
    • Yes, we have free Wi-Fi.
    • What should I pack for the academy?
    • Pack as if you were going on a two-week vacation.
    • Will I be able to go home before leaving on the ship?
    • Once the training is finished, we expect to get you directly to the ship.
    • Will we work on weekends?
    • It depends on the training program, but most will have activities on the weekend.
    • Do you provide personal lockers at the academy?
    • Yes, it is recommended to take a locker for personal belongings, available at the reception.
